my bio:
I first became interested in photography at the age of 13, when I picked up my first SLR and Medium Format cameras. When I was 14 I enrolled in photography classes. From there my appetite only increased as I continued my photography education. I now have a Photography Diploma from Penn Foster.
2006 was when I decided to start my own photography business. I didn't know much about running a business, and over the years I have learned a great deal! Not only about becoming an entrepenuer, but i learned a lot about myself, and my personal photographic style.
my style:
I would consider myself a wedding photojournalist. I feel that allowing events to happen, instead of arranging them, allows me to capture the real emotions of the moment. I also love experimenting with different angles, and creating artistic interest in my photos. I try not to focus on posed portraits, but I do understand that portraits are a necessary element in wedding photography, so I prefer to take relaxed, and more natural portraits.
my approach:
Every wedding and event, individual and couple, group and family are unique. So, I like to approach my style to suit the style of my client. But, the most important part is that you relax and have fun! Some of my best photographs were with couples that really had fun, studied their favorite magazines and really let their inhibitions go!
my inner computer geek:
I keep up to date with the latest software. Currently I use Adobe Lightroom 1.3 as well as Adobe Photoshop CS2 with Showit 2.0, Kubota, and Totally Rad actions for my post-production work.
